The Chapter makes its home at the Reid-Hillview Airport (RHV) in San Jose. We hold our monthly meetings on the first Thursday of the month in the Reid-Hillview terminal building. These meetings feature: presentations on many aspects of general aviation, resource sharing by pilots and builders, and are a friendly get-together for members and visitors. Check the events calendar on this site for program details and occasional changes of venue.
EAA62 is one of the oldest EAA Chapters in the country. It was founded in 1959 and, over the years, has been home to thousands of custom builders and aviation enthsiasts. The original mission of the Chapter was to provide support to aircraft homebuilders, and that continues to be a big part of what we do. But today the Chapter also sponsors activities for flying enthusiasts of all kinds.
In addition to the monthly meetings EAA62 offers many additional benefits. Members receive the Chapter's award winning monthly newsletter The Intrepid Airmen. The Chapter hosts numerous fly-ins and picnics throughout the year. We present many educational programs for novice and experienced flyers alike. And we participate in programs designed to introduce the non-flying community to the value and joy of flight.
EAA62 events are a friendly place where visitors are welcome. If you fly, or if you are interested in flying, please accept our invitation to attend our next monthly meeting. Or if you have children who are interested in flying, we would love to have the opportunity to introduce them to aviation through our Young Eagles program.
We look forward to meeting you soon.
